About Mahima
Mahima, meaning grace, is the expression of what happens when deep pain and suffering are met with unconditional love and support. Mahima International is rooted in the belief that women with refugee experience carry an immense wealth of cultural heritage, what we call life-rich traditions. These traditions hold stories, wisdom, and practices passed down for generations.

Teej is a traditional festival celebrated by women that honors homecoming and connection. Join us for:
Saree Draping: Learn how to wear a beautiful saree or try one on!
Music & Dancing: Enjoy uplifting music and festive traditional dances.
Food & Drinks: Taste delicious international food and refreshing non-alcoholic beverages.
Friendship & Connection: Meet wonderful women in the community and build lasting friendships.
Whether you're familiar with Teej or experiencing it for the first time, come celebrate togetherness, culture, and joy with us! All women are welcome.

*Our Teej gathering will include a time of ceremony and mourning in recognition the tragedy of the floods in Nepal and the lives of friends, family, and community members lost. This tragedy shadows our celebration, and we welcome the chance to come together for support and grieving in this difficult time.

The Third Cup makes you family.
The Third Cup is a monthly gathering created to bring people together across cultures. Community members and friends of Mahima come together to enjoy tea, share stories, and spend time in a welcoming, inclusive space.
Each gathering is hosted by women who have experienced displacement and now call Spokane home. They prepare traditional teas and coffees from their cultures.
